Save a Penny Bank

Start your child on the road to financial success! “Save a Penny” bank collection, designed and made by David DeSalvo can help.

The original piece of each series is thrown on a potter’s wheel then a plaster mold is made for future pieces of that design. Additional banks are made using the slip cast method. After the molded piece cures, features such as eyes and ears are added by hand, giving each creature their own distinct personality. Once dipped in glaze for overall color, accents such as polka dots and spots are painted on to further their individuality.

Instead of having to smash the bank when you need some cash, simply remove its cork and pour the money out.
